Initial Situation
The market for bulk materials such as stones, gravel and aggregate was largely organised offline. End customers had little opportunity to compare products transparently and order conveniently online. The own-initiative project Stein|Splitt|Kies was designed to build a specialised online shop for construction materials and bulk goods.
My Approach
I designed and built the complete online shop on the Shopify platform. The build encompassed product data integration, automation of the order process, and the development of a marketing strategy including advertising campaigns. Particular attention was paid to presenting complex product attributes — such as granularity, material type and delivery options for bulk goods — in a user-friendly way.
