M&A Consulting
Technical due diligence and M&A transaction advisory for IT companies.
Technical Due Diligence
Independent assessment of the technical asset – technology stack, code quality, IT security, scalability.
M&A Transaction Advisory
Focus exclusively on the IT sector: SaaS, IT service providers, digital agencies, tech startups. Network-driven deal origination.

My Path into M&A Advisory
The intersection of technology and corporate transactions has been a thread running through my career from an early stage. As far back as 2006, while serving as a project manager at Plazamedia GmbH, I was already preparing M&A decision papers for senior management and evaluating acquisition targets in the field of digital business models. That experience taught me how critical it is to properly assess IT business models — not just the financial metrics, but the strategic substance behind them.
After more than a decade as a product manager and consultant in the digital world — with engagements at Mercedes-Benz, BMW, MediaMarktSaturn and many others — I had developed a deep insider's understanding of the IT industry: its business models, its scaling potential, its strategic risks. That was precisely the knowledge that traditional M&A advisors lacked.
2018 – 2024 I was a Partner at the M&A boutique Excellent Business 4 You (EB4Y). Since 2025 I have been operating under the Kreativraketen M&A banner.
As an M&A advisor I guide IT entrepreneurs through the sale of their company — as advisor, coach and moderator throughout the entire process, focused on finding the best possible buyer.
Guiding You Through a Company Sale
I accompany IT entrepreneurs through the entire sales process — from initial exploration through to closing. My approach is built on transparency, trust and a deep knowledge of the IT industry.
My Commitment
- Transparency in the M&A process: You maintain full oversight at all times and make every decision yourself
- Full cost control: You approve each step and retain control over all costs
- No exclusivity required: Together we launch communication as quickly as possible, without the need for contractually guaranteed exclusivity
- IT expertise: As an IT specialist I understand your products, services and business models and can position them strategically
- Industry-specific: 95% of all transactions take place between IT entrepreneurs — I speak the language of both sides
Focus on IT Companies
- SaaS companies (B2B and B2C)
- IT service providers and systems integrators
- Digital agencies and web agencies
- Software development companies
- Tech startups with an established business model
The Process
A company sale follows a structured four-phase approach. I am at your side as advisor and moderator throughout every phase.
Phase 1: Communication
We begin by jointly creating an anonymised teaser — a concise overview of your company and business model that attracts interested parties without revealing your identity. In parallel, we initiate targeted outreach to potential buyers and investors from my network.
- Joint creation of the company teaser
- Interested parties submit a signed non-disclosure agreement (NDA)
- I present every interested party to you for approval
- Your company is only disclosed after you have given your consent
- What we show interested parties — we decide together
Phase 2: Meetings
Interested parties reach out proactively to learn more about your company. I conduct the initial conversations, gather key parameters and discuss them with you. Together we decide who moves on to the next round.
- I conduct the exploratory conversations
- You decide with whom we continue negotiations
- We arrange meetings with selected candidates
Phase 3: Negotiation
In the personal meetings we align the expectations of both sides. I support you through all stages of the negotiation — including purchase price, transition arrangements and personnel matters.
- Negotiation support on price and framework conditions
- Assessment of personal chemistry and strategic fit
- Objective: capturing mutual understanding in a Letter of Intent (LOI)
Phase 4: Review & Purchase Agreement
In the final phase I take charge of organising the due diligence and ensure that negotiations proceed smoothly through to closing. The process concludes with the notarial contract and the final closing.
- Organisation and coordination of due diligence
- Accompanying the final contract negotiations
- Ensuring a smooth closing
Strategic Assessment from an IT Perspective
Most M&A advisors are generalist finance professionals. I bring the strategic IT perspective:
Business Model Assessment
- Scalability of the business model
- Recurring revenues (ARR/MRR) and their quality
- Growth potential and market positioning
Strategic Positioning
- Positioning of products and services within the market environment
- Assessment of customer structure and dependencies
- Identification of strategic synergies for potential buyers
Team & Organisation
- Assessment of team structure and key individuals
- Management continuity post-transaction
- Evaluation of corporate culture and its transferability
I speak with the managing director about their vision and with the buyer about their integration strategy — at eye level and with genuine understanding for both sides.
My Network
Through Excellent Business 4 You and Kreativraketen M&A I have access to an established network of:
- Strategic buyers from the IT industry
- Family offices with a technology focus
- Private equity investors with IT portfolios
- IT entrepreneurs seeking growth through acquisitions
